_Bombay Bunch Necklace
_This necklace was inspired by the original "Bombay Bunch" samplers of pearls the travelers and the merchants to India and the Far East used to bring back with them. These "Bombay Bunch" samplers were rows of good quality pearls of various sizes, strung on metallic threads ending in luscious tassels. The samplers were used to make necklaces - sometimes, two or three "Bombay Bunches" were necessary to complete a long pearl necklace. This necklace speaks of the East, of the sea, of long and dangerous voyages, of riches untold and pirates, of gold spheres fashioned on the goldsmiths' fires and of orient pearls strung around the beautiful neck of a Renaissance maiden.
