Letters of Adornment
In my search for some inspiration for my letters, I found a website called The Phrontistery: Obscure Words which just had a wealth of interesting obscure words, things like quadragintesimal - forty-fold; having forty parts and qualtagh - first person encountered after leaving home on a special day, but finally settled for quatrefoil which etymologically means "four leaves", and applies to general four-lobed shapes in various contexts. Much of my work is very organic and plant-like, so this really wasn't much of a stretch for me. I wanted to make 4 quatrefoils and make them into a neckpiece which would have copper wire twisted like a vine and have an asymmetrical placement of the quatrefoils on each end meeting in the front, adding color with several layers of enamel.
