Letters of Adornment
I like the iconic shape of the letter T. It can be a T, a cross, or an x. I can make it fat or skinny, tall or squat. By working in plywood I tried to think most about materials. I love the sections of the wood showing through the thin paint on the sides. For the face of the letter I used a section of my painting palette. I've often wanted to find a use for colorful piles of mixed dried paint. I see jewelry as a sculptural object first. It's wearability is beside the point.
